Health questionnaire
Before the first day of camp, we will email you a health questionnaire to be printed and completed for each camper. All campers must submit the health questionnaire on the first day they report to camp.
-
Vaccinations
All of our staff members and volunteers will be required to complete their vaccine schedule prior to their first day on site.
-
Wearing Masks or Face Coverings
All campers, staff, and volunteers will be required to wear a face mask at all times except when actively consuming food or drinks. If parents need to visit the campus for any reason, they will also be required to wear a mask.
-
Daily Temperature Checks
We will check temperatures for all campers, staff, and volunteers twice a day - once in the morning upon arrival and again in the afternoon.
-
Keeping Campers in Small Groups
Campers will be divided into small groups ranging from six to eight individuals including one or two high school camp counselors assigned to the group to assist campers in activities and classes. These groups will remain physically distanced within the classroom and during break, snack, and lunch times.
-
Indoor and Outdoor Settings
Classes will be alternated between indoors and outdoors. Each class is 60-90 minutes long.
-
Low or No Touch Daily Drop Off and Pick Up
We will design a system for daily drop off and pick up that limits the amount of face-to-face contact between families and our staff members.
-
Preparing for When Someone Gets Sick
If a camper or staff member does get sick at camp, we have identified an area where they can rest, be watched after, and safely isolate from others. We will communicate with parents directly and, if necessary, arrange for the child to be taken to a healthcare facility for care.
-
Eating & Drinking
Water & Snacks: Campers will be asked to bring their own water bottle & snacks from home.
Lunch: Campers will bring their own lunch from home. We will also have one dim sum lunch provided during the week but students may also opt out of and bring their own lunch on this day, as well.
Snack & lunch time will start with hand washing & sanitizing routine.
Campers will have their own water bottles, snacks, and lunch boxes.
No sharing will be allowed.
Conversation while eating will be discouraged.
Campers are also encouraged to bring their own eating utensils.
-
Frequent Cleaning and Disinfection
We will intensify cleaning and disinfection practice of high touch surfaces and making sanitation products readily available (hand soap, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and spray, etc.)
-
Limiting Shared Materials and Equipment
Classes will be designed to limit the sharing of classroom materials and equipment such as craft materials, scissors, and writing instruments. If materials must be shared, they will be thoroughly disinfected between use.
-
Promoting Healthy Hygiene Practices
We will promote healthy hygiene practices by teaching campers the importance of washing their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, monitoring campers to make sure they are washing their hands, providing campers with hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol when they don’t have easy access to soap and water, encouraging children to cover their coughs and sneezes with a tissue or to use the inside of their elbow, and posting signs about these healthy habits around the camp facility
